Lara Sarkissian is a composer, DJ (FOOZOOL) and filmmaker. She is co-founder of CLUB CHAI in the Bay Area alongside 8ULENTINA; a record label, event series, and curatorial project that artistically hybridizes non-western sounds with electronic music. Lara Sarkissian’s electronic music weaves in experimental sound design, approaches, storytelling and has roots to her visual work. She scores for films and audiovisual installations.

In Spring of 2018, she joined the Institute for Sound and Music in Berlin and ZKM Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany as an artist in residence. Sarkissian worked with spatial audio in producing a 360-degree immersive sound and visual installation piece in collaboration with Jemma Woolmore for the ISM Hexadome. Her debut EP ‘DISRUPTION’ was released via CLUB CHAI in December 2018.
