So I create things with other people. This is what I love to do.

My role as lead engineer at Tellart has been the focus of my career so far. I have collaborated with countless clients, generated and refined concepts through ideation and prototyping, and built technical solutions from the ground up. I’ve enjoyed being on a dynamic team of designers, engineers, and innovators that spanned a broad swath of industry and academia.

As a result, I have developed a range of skills: building websites; designing, manufacturing, and testing digital and analog electronics; repurposing and “hacking” existing electronic systems for prototype design; researching and porting open source software for a variety of desktop and embedded environments; designing and testing code for user interfaces; writing DSP algorithms; building data networks for various desktop, embedded and mobile devices; performing on-site device installation and maintenance; designing, building, and testing basic mechanical systems; managing engineering subcontractors; estimating budgets and planning schedules; and writing and illustrating for a variety of technical subjects.

I studied at Brown University and received a BA in Engineering and in Visual Arts, and an MA in Computer Music and Multimedia. While there I worked as a research assistant on engineering, art, and archaeology projects at the SHAPE Lab, studying the theory and design of 3D modeling software. It gave me a deeper understanding of programming and mathematics, and I co-wrote several academic papers.

I have always been an artist and musician, and I love working with collaborators. Together, through creative process, we contact the deeper aspects of our experience and share them with others. It takes discipline and abandon, and it demands that we listen to all of our needs and motivations.
