Books in Browsers, a small summit for developers and designers in media and publishing, focuses this year on interactive and visual storytelling. The conference will be held on November 3 - 4 at the Gray Area.

Speakers will present talks on topics ranging from storytelling with virtual reality to imagined spaces, and new forms of interactions with texts. In breaks, attendees will explore synergies among different arts, challenges and opportunities for the future, and the possibilities for visual storytelling.

The conference will kick off with a private reception prior to the conference at the Goethe-Institut in San Francisco, featuring an exclusive presentation only for guests of this year’s Books in Browsers.

Books in Browsers VII: Telling Small Stories is organized and sponsored by the Frankfurt Book Fair and the University of California, Davis, with sponsorship by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and Ingram VitalSource.

The official Books in Browsers hotel is the Sir Francis Drake – a beautiful, boutique hotel on the edge of San Francisco’s Union Square district, with a short BART ride to the conference location.
