Burning Man Artists’ Network Symposium

Gray Area is proud to be hosting Burning Man's Artists’ Network Symposium!

May 1st: 11am - 4pm
Cost: $20

Whether you have led or supported making art in cities outside of Black Rock City and/or on the playa in the past, currently, or are interested in potentially making a project in the future - this event is for you! Burning Man is seeking to support artists' interests and growth by having conversations with likeminded people who are creating impactful work both inside and outside of BRC.

Burning Man is pleased to present their second all-day Artists’ Network Symposium. In the spirit of community engagement, they’ve created this fun and informative event where artists and other experts in their fields will come together to share knowledge and connect around mutual goals and needs. The veteran artists and experts of their community hold a wealth of knowledge and experience: possibly the most valuable resource of all to other artists.

During the day, there will be a series of panel discussions, moderated talks, and presentations along with an open session for connecting with people passionate about creating impactful work in the world. After the symposium, we’ll open the doors to the public for the much-loved and greatly anticipated Desert Arts Preview.

Burning Man

Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. In this crucible of creativity, all are welcome. A unique and distinctive culture emerges from the Burning Man experience. Rooted in the values expressed by the Ten Principles, this culture is manifested around the globe through art, communal effort, and innumerable individual acts of self-expression. To many, it is a way of life. Since its earliest days, Burning Man has been a collaborative endeavor, bringing together people with different backgrounds, interests, outlooks and skills. Today, this growing community is served by a vibrant network connecting individuals, communities, events and organizations worldwide.
