“Real Boy” Indie Lens Pop-Up Screening

Join KQED and Independent Lens for a free Indie Lens Pop-Up screening of “Real Boy” at the Gray Area's Grand Theater. 6pm-9pm.

Follow the story of 19-year old Bennett as he navigates early sobriety, late adolescence, and the evolution of his gender identity, and his mother who makes her own transformation from resistance to acceptance of her trans son. Featuring a panel discussion moderated by Cecilia Chung with the filmmaker Shaleece Haas, and live musical performances from film protagonists Bennett and Joe Stevens. Free with RSVP.
