Gray Area’s UNSEEN Series began in February 2016 as an ongoing performance series specifically for Bay Area artists who work in overlapping areas of art and technology. The goal of the series is to showcase innovative and experimental creative practice in the Bay Area. In its first year UNSEEN facilitated presentations of time-and performance-based artworks by noted and emerging artists working in sound, experimental music, interactive media, expanded cinema, performance, and immersive art.

The UNSEEN series is curated by Oakland artist Matt Fisher, and presented in 8 channel surround sound with audio engineering and equipment by Recombinant Media Labs.
