On Thursday October 19, Friday October 20, and Sunday October 22, Gray Area Festival presents a workshop series from C/Change, a joint project by Goethe-Institut San Francisco and Gray Area, funded by the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, exploring the future of technology-enabled cultural exchange.

Collaborate with artists and creative technologists from around the world in community-driven projects that enact forward-looking paradigms for digital futures.

From the ever-changing landscapes of the Rio Grande to the intricacies of digital rights in the global south and the revolutionary potential of decentralized platforms — each workshop offers a unique blend of history, technology, storytelling, and activism.
