The VIRAL: RK25 timeline, which features over 50 artists in traditional and experimental media, will be presented in five parts over five days during the 25th anniversary of the Los Angeles uprisings. Five pop-up exhibitions in Bay Area locations from April 29 to May 5, 2017 will be accompanied by educational workshops, performances, and restorative justice dialogue. Following this event, a school assembly will be developed to introduce students to the current movement for criminal justice reform, incorporating larger topics of civil rights and liberties, activism and advocacy, and how the arts can be used as a conduit for social progress.
