Moogfest 2016: Driving Graphics with Modular Synthesis

Moogfest 2016 is partnering with Gray Area to offer an exciting variety of creative coding workshops for both beginner and intermediate levels from leading artists working at the intersection of art and technology.

Saturday 5/21 - 10:00am-1:00pm

Driving Graphics with Modular Synthesis will explore how to create real-time synthesis engines to drive graphics. Using eurorack and Pure Data, an open-source visual programing environment, participants will explore a variety of modular synthesis techniques and ways to communicate with other visual programing environments. By using control hierarchies, digital signal processing, FFT analysis, and computer networks, participants will learn how to create richer and more responsive visuals with modular synthesis. The workshop is for beginners as well as experienced users. A laptop is required.
