The Oakland-based dj duo Very Much Romance is formed by Kate and Miro, who use their partnership as a jump off point for a journey through sounds. VMR finds a groove in driving rhythms, psychedelic samples, and an always-moving and thinking dancefloor. Their mode of preference is digging with one another, building off each other’s sounds, and trying to read each other’s minds. Over their time in the bay area, they’ve thrown a semi-regular party called Come Relax with Us, situated in various outdoor spaces and non-club interiors — all in the name of relaxing but never slowing down.
