Parish Bracha
Parish is a composer, producer, writer, and multidisciplinary artist. He has been pseudonymously releasing music since 2012 on labels such as Important Records, and his music has been used in film, television, documentary, video games, and theater, as well as discussed in the book Extreme Music: From Silence to Noise and Everything in Between.
Parish’s music draws influence from eclectic sources, combining elements of post-minimalism, experimental electronic, sacred music, and noise. His performances explore the relationship between sound, body, artifice, religious ecstasy, and atonement, and include the use of custom-made wearable devices, electroacoustic instruments, reactive visuals, and explosive movement.
Parish’s study of sound is also informed by his previous work as a neurobiologist and computational geneticist where he researched neurodegenerative disease, human hearing loss, and bioacoustics. He currently runs his own music software studio and teaches courses on music production and audio programming.
