Burning Man Desert Arts Preview 2018

THIS EVENT HAS MOVED. Desert Arts Preview will now include a tribute to Larry Harvey and Burning Man has changed venues to the Nourse Theater to more comfortably accommodate a large community gathering. All tickets purchased for Gray Area will be honored at the door. No refund, ticket exchange, or new purchase is required. For questions or concerns, please contact [email protected].

Desert Arts Preview is a beloved and exciting evening where artists will share the projects they plan to bring to the Burning Man event in 2018. Presenters will share their inspiration and hopes for these works in progress, giving the audience an exclusive window into their imagination and creative process.

This is also the perfect opportunity to learn how you can get involved and support these and other artists at the Burning Man event and year-round—as we increasingly seek to create interactive, collaborative and community-generating works of art in cities around the world. Come and learn how to get involved and help make the art you wish to see in the world.

Burning Man

Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. In this crucible of creativity, all are welcome. A unique and distinctive culture emerges from the Burning Man experience. Rooted in the values expressed by the Ten Principles, this culture is manifested around the globe through art, communal effort, and innumerable individual acts of self-expression. To many, it is a way of life. Since its earliest days, Burning Man has been a collaborative endeavor, bringing together people with different backgrounds, interests, outlooks and skills. Today, this growing community is served by a vibrant network connecting individuals, communities, events and organizations worldwide.
