NOW Hunters Point

NOW Hunters Point, a project supported by Pacific Gas and Electric, is transforming a former industrial landscape into a dynamic activity center that can be a place for environmental restoration and community renewal. NOW Hunters Point activates a portion of the former Hunters Point power plant site with short-term events and community serving programs as part of an innovative site maintenance and long-term visioning strategy.  In an attempt to capture what can be wanted and loved by the community, the NOW Hunters Point project team has embraced an interactive community engagement process as the catalyst for the design, programming, and future visioning of the site. Since 2013, NOW Hunters Point and the surrounding neighborhood have been a staging ground for activities working to engage people in the conversation of what the former power plant site can become.
