Aria Rostami and Daniel Blomquist gather source material and throw it back and forth to make much of their work. Sometimes the material is processed over and over again and sometimes it is barely touched. It is then turned into tape loops. By using loops, Blomquist can take a short audio clip and concentrate on processing it live and allow for improvised changes to the recordings over long periods of time. Rostami adds in an extra layer of drones, fuzz, melodic ambience, and beats with synthesizers. Their compositions explore dynamic relations between digital and analog sound creating quiet transitions and soaring peaks. Aria Rostami and Daniel Blomquist have releases out on Glacial Movements and Jacktone and have performed with acts such as Grouper, Author and Punisher, Boris, Earth, Katilyn Aurelia Smith, Briana Marlea, Bruce Lamont, Thomas Dimuzio, Kevin Gan Yuen (of Sutekh Hexen), and Phillip Greenlief.
