Join us as we welcome Tourist, Qrion, and Gilligan Moss for a special performance for Noise Pop Festival, an event presenting musicians at intimate venues all across San Francisco Bay Area.

A Grammy winning songwriter who crafts sound like kinetic sculptures, Tourist champions an introspective brand of electronic music. With roots in deep house and club-pop, behind this polished and digitally produced sound, still lurks a pure musical soul full of melodic emotion and affected vocals.

Native to Sapporo but now based out of San Francisco, Qrion is crossing oceans and making an impact with her waves of luscious sound. The artist continues to release a steady stream of music and collaborate with producers all over the globe, continuing to evolve and develop her sound.

Gilligan Moss' music has a distinct style that attempts to avoid genre tropes. Moss has described his music ambiguously as "déance" or "garden-disco" and has cited Talking Heads as a major influence, predominantly due to their sense of rhythm and character-based lyrics, the latter of which Moss has utilized heavily in his music.

Artists

Tourist

A person who is always travelling or visiting a place for pleasure. That's how William Phillips' name defines his adventures as a musician. "It allows me to write whatever I want. My writing takes me to lots of places: electronica, garage, piano. I want to write anything, and the name Tourist lets me do that." And it's through channeling that freedom that he became one of Hype Machine's most blogged about acts, solidified as a young producer who crafts his beats like kinetic sculptures.

Qrion

Born and raised in the snowy city of Sapporo, Qrion connected with the world well beyond her home in northern Japan, working with producers like Ryan Hemsworth, How To Dress Well, Giraffage, and many more. She’s released a steady stream of music from labels and blogs all over the globe, like Fool’s Gold, Carpark Records, NestHQ, Secret Songs to name a few.  She’s shared the stage with the likes of Porter Robinson, Ryan Hemsworth, and Four Tet, and joined Giraffage on a North American tour. She’s also played festivals like Moogfest, NoisePop, showcases at SXSW18, and HARD. Qrion is poised to take her music to even more audiences in 2018, already having played at Tomorrowland 2018 and self-releasing her latest GAF EPs, she is most definitely an artist to watch.

Gilligan Moss

Gilligan Moss spent his early life growing up in Chicago prior to moving to New York in search of a career. Eventually he found himself in an "intense" role as a management consultant; it was during this time that he wrote his first single, "Choreograph." The blogosphere picked up on his initial creative endeavors, and the resulting hype persuaded Moss to give up his day job, choosing to produce music full-time instead. After a prolonged stretch in his home studio, Moss eventually emerged with his debut EP, Ceremonial, produced alongside Van Rivers (Fever Ray, Glasser, Matthew Dear), who advised on creative decisions and assisted in the final stages of mixing. Ceremonial was released in August 2015 via AMF Records.
