Romy Aboudarham
Romy Aboudarham is a queer, non-binary, creative engineer who grew up on the internet writing their first lines of code to enhance their Neopet shop and Tumblr theme. They took a break from making mediocre Youtube videos to study computer science at Tufts University. After being in the industry for two years and realizing how disconnected they’d became from their childhood excitement around art and technology, Romy shifted directions to more fulfilling and creative endeavors. Through exploring drag and theatre, they discovered their passion for combining various technical and artistic mediums to tell stories and educate to make a social impact. Gray Area’s Creative Code Intensive was an immensely valuable experience for them and they are so grateful for the community they gained from it.
