Abby Hadidian is a San Francisco native who grew up at 25th and Shotwell, just a few blocks from Gray Area’s home at the Grand Theater. Her interests sit at the intersection of technology, social systems, and creative practice. She holds a Master of Financial Engineering from UC Berkeley and an MA in Philosophy of Science from San Francisco State University; across both programs, her work returned to the relationship between social identity and technology, focusing on how the instruments we use shape who we are and how we make things. She is drawn to Gray Area for its insistence that art and technology belong in the same conversation, and for its role as a creative anchor in the Mission District she has known since childhood. She is proud to help shape the organization’s next chapter.
