Brandon Tai
Brandon Tai is a musician and computational artist. His background spans computational mathematics and engineering research at UCLA and Stanford alongside 13 years of classical guitar performance. He’s drawn to interfaces that open up more intuitive, expressive relationships with sound — systems that unlock human creativity in new ways, bring people together in physical spaces, and honor music as something deep and inseparable from what it means to be human. Brandon develops and teaches livecoding curriculum, leads music collectives, and performs algorithmic music for audiences including livecode.nyc, Google DeepMind, and organizations across the Bay Area.
