Brian McGleenon is an experienced screenwriter, director, and producer working across documentary, feature films, and news media. He has received multiple rounds of development and production funding from Northern Ireland Screen for both feature and short films, including for the feature documentary Degens: Down and Out in the Crypto Casino, currently in development alongside Joe Haughey. Brian also produced the feature film Odium (with Neville Steenson) and co-wrote HouseJackers (with David Kline). Odium received development funding from Northern Ireland Screen, and HouseJackers received production funding and has now completed the post-production phase, and has been screened at the Belfast Film Festival and the Irish Film Festival Belgium.

Brian has also produced two short films with production funding support from Northern Ireland Screen: You Are Released and The Labyrinth. The short comedy that he produced called The Shed was awarded “Best Comedy – Honorable Mention” at the Queen’s World Film Festival in New York, and his other short films have screened internationally, including at festivals in Austin (Texas), Belfast, and New York.

Alongside his screen work, Brian is Global Head of News at BeInCrypto and host and producer of Yahoo Finance’s tech show Future Focus. He has produced and presented over 80 high-profile interviews with leaders in Web3, AI, and fintech, including figures such as Philip Hammond, Jordan Belfort, and Richard D. Wolff. His broadcast and journalism background includes roles with Fuji Television, acting as a UK producer.
