Dr. Woohoo is a Mountain View based hybrid / generative artist who is programming a path from code on a screen back to the natural world with the help of robots. To create his art he combines the human touch, the creative expressiveness of organic media, the magic of algorithms with behaviors found in natural systems to drive the arm of a Universal Robot UR10. Woohoo’s projects typically flow from the abstract to the practical. To generate his artwork, he cyclically moves between creating his own color and brush applications and plug-ins that attempt to capture his emotions and artistic vision, while emulating natural media.
