Jacob Sperber founded Gray Area’s Crowbar Corner recording studio in 2017. Most known for establishing the SF queer dance music institution Honey Soundsystem he also played a key role in helping get Gray Area off the ground in its infancy as a SOMA gallery and warehouse event space. Crowbar Corner serves as his homebase for record label projects, music production (for labels like Comeme, 2MR, and Huntleys & Palmers) and to mentor up and coming Bay Area artists. The studio was also used to record his popular Red Bull Radio show which interviewed countless culture makers and elders about the history of queers in dance music.
