Jenna Moore is a lifelong Humboldt County resident, animal rescuer, advocate, and founder of Moore Love Animal Rescue. Her connection to animals began in childhood through 4-H, horseback riding and caring for animals of all kinds, eventually leading her to work as a veterinary technician and dedicate much of her adult life to animal rescue and rehabilitation. She has been actively involved in rescuing animals since 1999 and has decades of hands-on experience caring for dogs, horses, livestock, and other animals.

In addition to her work with animals, Jenna is the founder and owner of Connections Living Services, a Humboldt County-based organization she established in 2007 to support adults with developmental disabilities in living as independently as possible in their communities. Her work in both human services and animal rescue has centered around advocating for those who cannot always advocate for themselves.

In the spring of 2026, Jenna and Jennifer Raymond began investigating concerns surrounding Miranda’s Rescue in Fortuna. Their efforts ultimately led to the discovery and recovery of eight deceased dogs and helped bring wider attention to serious concerns involving the treatment, transfer, and fate of animals sent to the rescue. Since then, Jenna has worked extensively with animal owners, shelters, law enforcement, the media and members of the public to gather information, document cases and help families searching for answers about animals they entrusted to the organization.

Today, Jenna continues to operate Moore Love Animal Rescue while advocating for greater transparency, accountability, and oversight within animal rescue organizations. She believes that accepting responsibility for an animal means accepting responsibility for its life — and that every animal deserves humane treatment, dignity, and a voice.
