Katherine Chui is a design technologist from Berkeley! She recently graduated with an MS in Data Visualization from Parsons School of Design where she discovered the world of creative coding. Before that, she studied math and CS at Rice University. She loves combining these disciplines with her love for design and animation to create pieces that seek truth and translate stories into art. She enjoys working with audio, image, and text data using signal processing and machine learning. When not coding, she creates art with paper, pastel, resin, and water to build little worlds that play with light, transparency, scale, and reflection. She hopes to intersect both art and code to create tools and installations that feel uniquely textural and nostalgic.
