I grew up next to a farm with the cows and chickens. I had an active childhood in art and painting, as well as spending many hours alone in the garden. That was the early days of my life in the Silicon Valley. It wasn’t until college that I decided to explore and embrace the history of the rapidly transforming Silicon Valley by studying engineering. As an engineering undergrad and grad student, I was drawn to technical side of art: optics and image processing. Engineering became a curious intersection of art and design with physics and technology. I believe the role of design is to make technology more human and approachable, while technology can transform simple designs into something more magical and personal. Together design and technology will create brand new experiences that feel intuitive and compelling.
