Kevin Peter He

Kevin Peter He is a New York-born, Shanghai-raised artist and filmmaker based in Brooklyn. His practice bridges film, live performance, and game engines to craft expressive live cinematic experiences. Blurring the boundaries between spectatorship and interaction, his narratives take shape as audiovisual performances, interactive films, and extended reality (XR) installations, centered around the filmic gaze. Drawing inspiration from cinema and technology, Kevin’s work creates magical realist worlds that explore the interplay between technological progress and the human psyche.

As the former creative director of the mixed reality studio ZeroSpace, Kevin has collaborated with global brands including Nike, Cartier, Disney and Chanel. He holds a master’s degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), where he also teaches as an adjunct professor, and a bachelor’s degree in film from the University of Southern California (USC). His work has been featured at institutions and events such as Tribeca Film Festival, Mutek Montreal, Yale School of Arts, SIGGRAPH, Onassis ONX, New York Fashion Week, NOWNESS, Dover Street Market, and NEW INC.
