Kristin Bauer

Kristin Bauer is an interdisciplinary artist in San Francisco, CA. With a background in art, Jungian art therapy and writing, Bauer works with text, propaganda, social psychology and embodied narrative via symbolic meaning in art and research spanning sculpture, painting, performance, installation, video, sound, site specific interventions, print, code, radio and pedagogical projects. She has participated in exhibitions and programming nationally including Franconia Sculpture Park, Abrons Art Center, ASU Art Museum, CMAY Gallery, PAM, The ICALA and SMoCA. Her work was included in the Transborder Biennial IV and she has worked with The Space Program SF in residency and exhibiting at Saint Joseph’s Art Society and Minnesota Street Projects. Bauer has two daughters Lilly and Artemis, writes poetry and plays synthesizers w/spouse Emmett in their noise project 8BitHex. “THIS IS LIKE THAT: Kristin Bauer” published by Hirmer, Munich, won Gold Artbook design in 2023 ICMA Awards.
