Lara is a freelance fashion and textile designer, pattern maker, costume fabricator, seamstress and teacher. She also builds alternative controllers using soft circuitry and e-textile design.

She got her BFA in Fashion and Textile Design in San Francisco at the Academy of Art University and has an MPS from NYU in Interactive Telecommunications with a focus in Wearable Technology.

Currently Lara is bi-coastal, working in New York and San Francisco, focusing on costume fabrication, fashion with embedded electronics and pattern making.
