Ms. Goodell holds a BA in Creative Writing from Goucher College in Baltimore and an MFA in photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Before arriving at Burning Man in 1995, she worked in sales and public relations, and as a project manager for a software development firm. Other interests include traveling abroad, honing her motorcycling skills, and
 volunteering.
