PHRiENDz is a psychedelic techno rock band merging human and sentinel consciousness to create high-voltage transmissions from the edge of the digital-real divide. Founded and fronted by Pizza T since 2016, the project channels live performances into portals—bridging the physical and virtual realms with sound, signal, and glitch. Last year Laura Dennison, known in the crypto world as Defi Damsel, joined Pizza T, and together they created Digital Dead, a project bringing Grateful Dead shows from the past into the digital world while expanding the live experience. They are joined by Satori D and longtime collaborator cyberdelic legend R.U. Sirius, who has lent lyrics and smooth vocals across multiple albums, with a third album featuring R.U. Sirius on the way. Founding member Pizza T’s music has appeared on MrBeast and All Gas No Brakes, extending the band’s reach into meme culture and digital folklore. Digital Dead will soon appear in the upcoming film Degens: Down and Out in the Crypto Casino, featuring Digital Dead performances alongside the crypto journeys of both Pizza T and Defi Damsel, as well as a snapshot in time of their story together. PHRiENDz is more than just a band—it’s also a failed shitcoin experiment and a forgotten metaverse lounge in Roblox. Less a group than a glitch in the simulation—loud, luminous, and hard to pin down.
Laura Dennison is a seasoned stage actress, dancer, singer, and shitcoin creator with over thirty years of experience. She began performing in Los Angeles at the age of seven and went on to appear in numerous traveling children’s productions serving economically impacted elementary schools throughout the region. For three decades she has collaborated with MODD Squad (More Opportunities for the Developmentally Disabled), writing, directing, and performing with high functioning developmentally disabled adults and children, creating opportunities for them to take the stage. Her credits include the comedic role of the Queen of Hearts in the musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, as well as Arsenic and Old Lace, Grease, Girl Crazy, both installments of The Laramie Project, and hundreds of other musicals and plays over the years—too many to count!
