Stella Ioannidou

Stella Ioannidou is a multimedia artist, designer, and educator based in New York and Athens. Her research-driven practice spans experimental video essays, digital drawing, animation, writing, publishing, and web-based projects. She holds a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, and a Master of Architecture from GSAPP, Columbia University.

Stella has collaborated with institutions like the Center for Spatial Research, Visualizing Palestine, the Temple Hoyne Buell Center, and NHDM. She works as a Part-time Faculty at The New School and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at GSAPP, Columbia University.

Her work has been exhibited internationally at BOZAR, Kunsthal Aarhus, Mucem, Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto, the Venice Architecture Biennale 2021, Arko Art Center, and other venues. Her published works appear in the Journal of Creative Geography, Urban Magazine, Funambulist Magazine, and Urban Omnibus. She has participated in artist residencies at Onassis AiR, Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto, AMF (Allowing Many Forms), Mucem.

In her practice, Stella experiments with the flexibility of story-making, creative technology, and artistic intervention. She works to discover connections and possibilities between selves and worlds.
