Laleh Mehran’s Creative Process

Laleh Mehran used AI-generated video and 3D printing to create Fluid Strata (2023), a speculative water vessel inspired by historical descriptions. AI imagery shaped an animated archive of fictional artifacts, one of which was 3D-printed using iridescent filament as a nod to future materiality.

The work explores world-building, agency, and sustainability—demonstrating how AI can generate and materialize new creative possibilities.
