School is back in session at Gray Area! Join us at our Open House to learn more about upcoming creative technology workshops and intensives, discover our Cultural Incubator Open Call, and connect with fellow artists and technologists.
We’ll preview Gray Area’s Spring Education Program, which features workshops and intensives focused on a wide range of skills and media, from creative coding and composing algorithmic music to training small machine learning models on handmade data sets and programming lo-fi video synthesizers. Meet instructors, ask questions, and get inspired to make something new with us this year!
The 2026 Cultural Incubator will also kick off this spring with a new cohort of artists and technologists developing innovative projects that apply creative inquiry to emerging technologies. At Open House, we’ll reveal exciting new Incubator program offerings, walk through the details of this year’s open call, and help you decide whether the Cultural Incubator might be a good fit for your practice.

Gray Area’s 2026 Education Program offers workshops and intensive courses focused on creative agency through personal technology.
In addition to our core programming in creative coding, we are offering new classes for participants to compose their own algorithmic music, train custom machine learning models for creative applications with artificial intelligence, and program realtime visual media.

Gray Area's Cultural Incubator is a creative accelerator that propels interdisciplinary creators on their path toward exploration and creative sustainability.
