Dear San Francisco, is a project that leverages the power of art, design, and the written word to facilitate relevant, community-based conversations about the future. Appropriating a commonly understood form of visual & verbal language, Dear San Francisco, will begin with a simple postcard asking people to write a letter to the city outlining what their hopes are for themselves and their city by the year 2040. In order to engage a broad demographic, Dear San Francisco, will distribute the postcards at places where people naturally gather in their community- coffee shops, laundromats, churches, etc. and will be available to submit online where the collection of cards can be viewed in an accessible, visual format.
