The BACE Timebank is a project based on the OSCurrency source, based primarily on Ruby on Rails. We focused this weekend on creating prototypes for increasing accessibility of current and potential timebank members who face digital access issues, such as residents of the mid-market area.

This hack was worked on during the Creative Currency Collaboration Weekend a first-of-its-kind partnership between Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, Hub Bay Area, The San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Civic Innovation, and American Express. These partnerships have allowed the project to bridge communities interested in technology, social enterprise, community development, civic issues, and the new economy in an unprecedented way.
