refreshSF is a system predicated on the need to promote public health, build awareness of homelessness and encourage giving through an easy to donate system.

We believe that this first step is in making the simple things such as access to a source of water to cleanse and refresh is the first start in regaining personal dignity and mutual recognition of our humanity.

This hack was worked on during the Creative Currency Collaboration Weekend, April 27-29th,2012, a first-of-its-kind partnership between Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, Hub Bay Area, The San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Civic Innovation, and American Express. These partnerships have allowed the project to bridge communities interested in technology, social enterprise, community development, civic issues, and the new economy in an unprecedented way.
